Gadedrengehop

Frederik Heidemann – computer
Maria Dybbroe – altsax og sopransax

LOVE
LOVE’s music merges different influences, from european medieval choir, free-jazz, spiritual music, jazz, songs to free-improvisation. Music of LOVE is intuitive, based on simplicity like a meditation and trust in repetition like a mantra. LOVE is using voice and long natural build-ups over beautiful forms with profound direction. Warm melancholic harmonies and focused melodies create a very intimate character of each performance.
Six musical identities meet on stage to unite in the discovery of raw and primal human emotions. When they perform they connect with each other loosing themselves in the moment, sharing this intimate moment allowing the audience to open for new experience. The concerts of LOVE bring the cathartic fulfilment to the audience, bringing hope and happiness.
Jędrzej Łagodziński – saxophone and composition
Lo Ersare – vocal
Rasmus Kjærgård Lund – tuba
Petter Rylén – piano
Tomo Jacobson – double bass
Szymon Pimpon Gąsiorek – drums

Cop Tears play John Cage
New York based ensemble Cop Tears perform John Cage’s 13 Harmonies.
Thirteen Harmonies is a selection from John Cage’s 44 Harmonies From Apartment House 1776, an arrangement of pieces from the colonial and early American choral canon. The piece was written for the American bicentennial. John Cage composed the harmonies by way of erasure of the Protestant chorales and set them in an “apartment house” among other American voices: Native American ritual music, slave spirituals, and Sephardic incantations. What binds the lay experimentalism of William Billings and his contemporaries (all white American men) to the ‘multiplicity of centers’ of the Apartment House of John Cage is the destruction of a privileged musical space, the making-permeable of the division between the music of the piece and the sound of the people coming together to make the music of the piece.
