Zola SOLO
Zola Mennenöh – vocals, guitar, field recordings, composition
ZOLA is the solo project of german vocalist, improviser and songwriter Zola Mennenöh. In 2016 she moved her life center to Copenhagen and has since then become a strong exponent of the hybrids between songwriting, jazz and improvisation flowing in the Copenhagen underground scene. In her work she combines her interest in exploring textural and tonal possibilities of her instrument as well as concrete sound, with minimalist, responsive songwriting. Grounded in improvisation the music explores the meeting point between these two ends and moves freely between them.

Jacobson/Gjerlufsen/Santillana
Tomo Jacobson – double bass
Birk Gjerlufsen Nielsen – processing
Sebastián Santillana – processing
Tomo Jacobson is a free improvising double bass player based in Copenhagen. With over two dozen albums to his credit, he is mostly known for the projects he is a leader, or co-leader to, as well his solo double bass work, and free improv encounters with acclaimed musicians.
In 2017 Tomo has been releasing one full-lenght solo album each month, for the total of twelve in one year. All of them were recorded at KoncertKirken.
This concert will be a live premiere of the collaboration between Tomo and Birk Gjerlufsen Nielsen & Sebastián Santillana, two members of the great ambient trio Vanessa Amara. This collaboration was first initiated for the purpose of one of Tomo’s solo albums.
Here Tomo will be playing through a reel-tape-run-delay-system built by Birk and Sebastian, creating and interacting with layered free improvisations enlarged by the growing presence of the multiplication of church acoustics.
Tomo has been touring most of Europe, USA & Cuba, and has been very fortunate to perform with the greats like John Tchicai, Andrew D’Angelo, Lotte Anker, Mat Maneri, Adam Rudolph, Rasul Siddik, P.O. Jørgens, Frank Gratkowski, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Sun Araw, Mikołaj Trzaska, Michael Blake, Alex Zhang Hungtai, Tanya Kalmanovitch, Jacob Anderskov, Kresten Osgood, Hugh Steinmetz, Søren Kjaergaard, Torben Snekkested, Jesper Zeuthen, and many others.

SONORES (SE)
Jonas Odhner – Guitar
Oskar Karlström – Bass, keyboard and electronics
Dan Olsson – Keyboards, vocoder and processing
Adrian Åsling – Saxophone
Sonores is a trio based on the west coast of Sweden as well as the west coast of the United States of America. They play deconstructed Swedish psych rock, based around tape collages and sample techniques rather than classic rock instrumentation.
“Dance” is their first album in 13 years, recorded in their own studio in Gothenburg, Sweden. It straddles the previously unexplored line between oddly dense and dark foundations and light vocal pop sensibilities.
