Wassermann, Anker & Parkins er en relativt nystartet trio bestående af tre yderst fremtrædende musikere/komponister på den Europæiske scene for eksperimenterende musik og lydkunst. W,A & P’s musik udfolder sig i flydende spændingsfelter mellem fri improvisation og lydkunst, mellem foruroligende, sælsomme og smukke udtryk , hvor udforskning af lyd og opbygning af transcenderende og eventyrlige lyd verdener er udgangspunkt.
Det er første gang nogensinde Ute Wassermann kan opleves i København på trods af af tidlige relationer til Danmark.
Wassermann er tidligere studerende hos Henning Christiansen på Hochschule für Bildende Kunst Hamburg. Hun har opført talrige af hans værker og senest medvirket i koncertforestillingen Reality is Around the Corner på Henning Christiansen udstillingen Freedom is Around the Corner i New York oktober 2018.
Wassermann, Anker & Parkins har indtil videre spillet en række koncerter i Berlin. En kommende udgivelse er på tapetet sidst i 2019.
Wassermann, Anker & Parkins er den anden koncert i serien Übergangsraum og støttet af Goethe Instituttet.

Ute Wassermann
Ute Wassermann, voice artist, composer, improvisor is known for her extraordinary, many-voiced and extreme vocal sound-language, which she brings into experimental/contemporary music in diverse ways. Wassermann is engaged in the areas of composition, improvisation and performance / sound art: she takes the voice beyond itself, extends her voice using bird whistles, speaker objects, resonators, field recordings, multi-channel- diffusion and light (with Michael Vorfeld). Numerous performances in festivals, galleries and clubs throughout Europe, Australia, Mexico, Brazil and Asia. Performances with different bands and adhoc with musicians like Phil Minton, Thomas Lehn, Martin Blume, John Russel, Raed Yassin, Mazen Kerbaj, Michael Vorfeld, Andrea Neumann, Sabine Ercklentz and many others. Recent commissions for compositions by Ryogoku Art Festival, University of Amsterdam, Poetica Sonora / Mexico City, Transart Festival and Festival Eclat. She has received several grants like a residency at the Civitella Ranieri
Foundation in 2015.

Lotte Anker
Lotte Anker is a saxophoneplayer, improviser, composer working in the field between experimental jazz/improvisation and contemporary music. Her music includes both melodic (often twisted or fragmented) elements and more abstract textural material and covers a wide territory from minimal, transparency to dense and dark expressionism. Initiator and bandleader of numerous highly acclaimed collaborations and groups eg: Anker,Taborn,Cleaver, Fred Frith & Lotte Anker, What River Ensemble, quartet with Johannes Bauer, John Edwards and Paul Lovens and the septet Electric Habitat. Numerous performances at major festivals and concertspaces throughout Europe, USA, Canada, Russia, Asia, Africa and the Middle-East. Collaborations with Ikue Mori, Sten Sandell, Thomas Lehn, Okkyung Lee, Paal Nilssen-Love, Joelle Leandre, Raymond Strid, Phil Minton, Evan Parker and many others. Compositional work includes music for both small group and large ensemble. Commissions for Huddersfield Contemporary Musicfestival, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Gong Tomorrow, Ensemble Modern ao.

Andrea Parkins
Andrea Parkins is a sound artist, composer and electroacoustic performer engaging with interactive electronics. She is known for her pioneering gestural/textural approach on her electronically processed accordion, and investigation of embodiment and chance with her amplified object and self-designed virtual sound-processing instruments. Her projects include performances, multi-diffusion sound installations; electronic music compositions; and sound design for contemporary dance, film and intermedia performance. Parkins’ work has been presented at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Experimental Intermedia, Issue Project Room, Kunsthalle Basel, Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain (Strasbourg), NEXT (Bratislava) ao. She performs as a solo artist and has collaborated with Tony Buck, Magda Mayas, The Necks, Nels Cline, George E. Lewis, and contemporary dance theatre director Vera Mantero. Parkins’ recordings are released by Important Records, Atavistic, Henceforth, Confront, and Creative Sources.
