Michał Biel & Michaela Turcerová

Michaela Turcerová (SK) and Michał Biel (PL) are two Copenhagen-based artists working across experimental music and sound art. In this duo, they present composition for low frequencies and wind instruments, shaped by a shared interest in resonance, slowness, sound sculptures and close listening.

Calum Builder – From The Tide

This latest work by Calum Builder (AU), From the Tide features an ensemble of solo percussionist Jan Kadereit and three flutist/vocalists: Sarah Buchner, Flavia Huarachi and Kirstine Lindemann.

Inspired by Calum’s upbringing by the Pacific and Indian Oceans, the piece explores the sensation of submersion – physically and mentally – where perception and awareness blurs. The tide and current pull fragments between land and sea; they drift, submerge and sometimes return.

At the center of From the Tide is a custom-built percussion setup, co-designed with Jan Kadereit: a sculptural hybrid of broken driftwood, metal shards, terracotta and long tubular pipes.
