ASAKJÆR
The duo ASAKJÆR consists of cellist/composer Sarvin Asa (IR/IT) and contemporary dancer/choreographer Helene Düring Kjær (DK).
We work with cross artistic improvisations between live music on cello, dance and cross-media performance, in which composition and improvisation continuously affect each other. Our shared research began in 2019 in Norway, and over the years, we have developed a precise, shared artistic language for our work based in Denmark. Our aesthetic blends the concrete and abstract, the recognizable and enigmatic, balancing minimal simplicity with composed complexity. With music and movement as our means of expression, we aim to communicate beyond words and mental concepts, connecting to the feelings and lived experiences of our audiences.

An athletic criss-cross between jazz and non-european musical traditions centered on wood- based piano preparation, Anaphora explores the power within the collective process of dreaming out sounds and sounding out dreams.
With the ablum Bloom, queer pianist Filippo Deorsola brews a genre and gender-free hybrid, a colourful textural and percussive space where techno-reminiscent urban grooves bond with cyclical machineries and hypnotic melodies.
