You’re invited to experience a single note bowed on the double bass continuously for the duration of one hour.
Sound is transmitted to your ear canals in the vibration of air. Vibrating string-vibrating body of the double bass-vibrating air-vibrating body of yours and the material of the room the note is projected in. The vibrating air in time fills the entirety of the room, transmits the vibrations to everything it touches. Your skin and the whole body is not an exception. You breath the air vibrating in accordance to that single bowed note. It fills your lungs transmitting the vibration to your body also from the inside. You become a resonating body in coherence with the body of the bass, other people in the audience and the room you’re in.
What is the influence of it on your body, thought-mind, soul if you believe in one, you as a part of the environment you find yourself in, and the world at large? What’s the difference between before and after?
