Sarangi concert by Nabeel Khan
As a tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Embassy of India in Copenhagen presents an evening of Indian classical music featuring renowned Sarangi maestro Mr. Nabeel Khan.
Nabeel Khan born on September 2, 1999 in New Delhi, India is a Sarangi player, composer and a singer-songwriter. He is the eighth generation of Sarangi artists in his family and is the world’s youngest established Sarangi player. Khan is the grandson of the legendary Sarangi Maestro Padma Bhushan awardee, Ustad Sabri Khan Saheb and the son of renowned Sarangi artist Ustad Nasir Khan . Nabeel Khan belongs to the much-revered Moradabad Sainia Gharana of Sarangi players. This Gharana traces its musical roots from Mian Tansen , the great vocalist in the court of Mughal Emperor Akbar . He has performed in many prestigious music festivals all over the world and pioneered the Sarangi across diverse genres in countries including India, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, Denmark, Poland, Sri Lanka, Norway, Spain, Portugal and France.
There will be Indian Classical Music, Bollywood, Sufi & Qawwali Music.
