Simon Toldam: (1979) Pianist, composer.
Simon Toldam is one of Scandinavia ́s most exiting and acclaimed musicians from the current generation. He was the winner of a Danish Music Award in 2006 with Scandinavian orchestra ”Sekten”, and in 2007 won 2 awards for his orchestra ”Simon Toldam & Prügelknabe”, and as a ”Rising Star” of the danish music scene. He was named ”official composer” of the Copenhagen Jazz festival 2007, writing a piece called ”Uniform” for four bass clarinets, drums and piano.
Toldam started his first trio at the age of 9, and has since then been leading and co- leading several groups playing jazz, improv and beyond. Composition and improvisation has always – and still is – been the main pillars in the musical carrier of this versatile player. Toldam is currently leading his own trio and the larger group Stork, both orchestras presenting the music of Toldam, showing all of his orchestrational abilities and his intriguing way of conveying his own music.
Beside leading Simon Toldam Trio, Stork, and co-leading orchestras as Sekten and PET, Toldam is member of dutch drum-legend Han Bennink’s Trio, and has through the last ten years been performing with artists as: Evan Parker, Peter Brötzman, Han Bennink, Misha Mengelberg, Tristan Honsinger, Joachim Badenhorst, Noel akchoté, Chriss Speed, Dave Douglas, Eivind Aarset, Nils-Petter Molvær, Marylin Mazur, Jacob Buchanan 4tet (with Marilyn Mazur and Jacob Bro), Kostcirkeln, Grammofunch, Kira Skov and Eggs Laid by tigers.

IGNACIO CÓRDOBA
is a Copenhagen-based spanish musician, whose music goes from free improvisation or the first electronic traditions ala BBC Radiophonic Workshop or Elianne Radigue, to current trends like The Caretaker, Oren Ambarchi or William Basinski.
Ignacio devotes himself to “La Caja” (The Box) – an old industrial calibration machine that plays with time like memory does: stretching, slowing and speeding sound, making it appear and disappear a bit different every time. Distant and hypnotic like a black hole, he uses it to get us to underwater sounds, bubbly atmospheres and melancholic mermaid calls through emotional and trance-inducing tunes.
The project has been active in different line-ups (from solo or duo up to quintet) since 2011, with two self-released records, cassette tapes through the labels MAGIA and Punctum, and shows all over Spain and 6 european tours through 17 countries.
