Kjetil Mulelid Trio + Føhnvind
Kjetil Mulelid Trio
is an exiting norwegian jazz piano trio which plays modern acoustic jazz. Our music is a mixture of compositions written by Mulelid and pure collective improvisations. The music is both energetic and intimate with beautiful melodies and complex rhythms, inspired by contemporary Nordic jazz groups. Separately, the three members have released a number of well-received albums and can be spotted at clubs and festivals with different projects, such as Megalodon Collective (Nominated for The Norwegian Grammy Award, 2015), Operasjon Hegge and Wako.
Kjetil A Mulelid – piano
Bjørn Marius Hegge – double bass
Andreas Winther – drums
Føhnvind
is a Copenhagen based trio whose music is acoustic instrumental. The style is nordic drawing inspiration from different sources such as jazz, impressionism and danish song tradition. Writing the music is a shared undertaking, where it takes shape through a collective process. This brings about a personal expression and adds a clear direction to the music as a whole. Most of all Føhnvind is about improvising, sounds and acoustics so don’t miss your chance this evening in the excellent live setting of the former church.
Morten Ib Munk-Nielsen: piano
Bartal Læarsson: double bass
Sune Kjærsgaard Dahlgreen: drums
