Tillegreen’s music and sound works are very physical, moving between the sensorial, mesmerizing and playfully challenging and further towards the tranquil, evocative, and introspective. Often using voice and speech as material, different connotations and narratives appear and are combined with psychoacoustics into an arabesque of escalating streams, massive blocks of bass, heavy granular synth sequences, and disorientating polyrhythmic patterns.

Media communication processes constitute the basis for many works by composer, visual artist, curator and performer Joanna Bailie. Frequently, ambient rhythms or tone colors become starting points and protagonists in the compositional activity. Recorded, partially processed sounds generate a mesh of instrumental hues, microtonal harmonies and visual elements. The subject of the work Roll Call is a panoramic photograph of the pupils and teachers of a boys’ school in Romford, Essex made in 1946. The work explores notions of biography, memory and nostalgia and attempts to forge an audio-visual music using the image itself, speculations concerning the lives of the people in the shot, and a sonic space spun out of field recording representing the school playing-field on which this photograph was taken.

Frej Wedlund’s music explores quiet tension, exposedness and imperfection. He’s fascinated by the grandiosity and intimacy that a “small” music can create. A recent interest is incomplete, unbalanced, or unfulfilled form. This is likely a search for some sort of “sublime imperfection”, in turn, a step in the search for an intimate music.

Lorenzo Colocci is a musician, composer, visual artist and inventor. Trained in classical flute, jazz composition and arrangement, he works in a variety of styles including improvisation, chamber music, electronics and performance. He develops his own sound path by improving his prototypes of the extended flute (Flaubosax) and no-input flute to broaden the sound possibilities beyond the physical limits of the instrument, exploring new sonic possibilities and pushing boundaries seeking for new personal solutions in practical and conceptual ways. // YOU ARE THE TUBE // is an experiment in using Youtube as an exclusive source and instrument of audio-visual production, improvisation, and performance.

K!ART is an experimental music ensemble and creative platform based in Copenhagen. The group has been presenting DIY-flavored, intermedial music events since 2019.
