My name is Gus Ring, I’m from Sweden, and I play acoustic dreampop with psychedelic influences. Music to make your mind float away.

My goal has always been to make something unique, emotional, honest, and to do everthing by myself. I create, record and mix all my music at home in my closet studio. Free from record companies and the typical marketing strategies. DIY for life!

The 28th of June last year I released my first full length album; “Boredomtapes”, for digital download, but also on 100 cassette tapes, that we’re totally hand-crafted, every tape taped analog and every cover drawn by hand.

My latest release came 20th April this year and is a mini-album called “In search of the wonderful life”, which concept is about how we often take our dreamlike visions to be the same thing as reality. Inspired by the alternative rockband scene and the simplicity of singer-songwriters, Gus Ring creates his own mix of acoustic folk and lo-fi dreampop. Gus plays, records and mixes everything himself in his bedroom studio. Most of the songs are also written and recorded in one long session, to keep the spontaneity, instant emotion and to save that exact moment in time.
