Frontburner + Shelton Berre Duo

This night features Aram Shelton, a saxophonist from California who has been involved with the creative music scenes in Chicago and San Francisco since 2000. His associations are broad, and over the years he has played with the likes of Larry Ochs, Fred Frith, Jason Adasiewicz, Tony Buck, Fred Lonberg-Holm, and Ken Vandermark. His playing and writing have been documented on more than two dozen recordings from Delmark, Clean Feed, Cuneiform and his own Singlespeed Music. In fall of 2016 Shelton moved to Copenhagen from California. In his short time here he has been developing music with several scandinavian musicians.

This night will have two sets: the first will be a duo between Shelton and the Norwegian drummer Håkon Berre. The second will Front Burner, a quartet with Henrik Pultz Melbye, tenor saxophone; Jeppe Skovbakke, bass; and Rune Lohse, drums.
