Finn Loxbo & Anders Vestergaard + Yngel
Abstract Tits presents a night of fine music in Koncertkirken: A premiere of a brand new piece by Finn Loxbo and Anders Vestergaard and unique music by the infamous guitar-duo Yngel.
The duo of Anders Vestergaard and Finn Loxbo play a personal form of condensed and intimate music through acoustic guitar, percussion and analog feedback. They have been working together for several years playing improvised music, but this evening they will perform a new piece written at a residency in Reims, France in september. They describe the piece as a “distilled sonic ritual” and “a type of auditory acupuncture”. The performance in Koncertkirken will be the premiere of the piece.
Yngel is an experimental guitar-duo who search for the boundaries of how you can use the electric guitar through composition and improvisation. They use simple tools such as stone’s and metal objects to explore and interweave different approaches to the guitar and it’s sound.
Yngel draws as much influence from free jazz and punk as they do from classical and folklore.
Danish magazine Jazz Special have described their music as: “post-everything-you-have-heard-before. Post-composition, post-metal, post-folk and post-african music, post-avantgarde, post-funk, post-minimalism and so on” and called their debut album “the most interesting jazz release from 2015”.
