FESTIVAL & FRIENDS – Jazz Compositions Gone Classical

We love jazz. We always have. And we are so happy that Mathias Heise said yes when we asked him to join us this summer.

If you know the Copenhagen jazz scene, you know Mathias. He plays the harmonica like no one else, and in recent years he has been writing for classical ensembles in ways that make the boundary between jazz and classical feel completely irrelevant. This concert presents a whole evening of his compositions, from duos and string quartets to larger chamber ensembles, with Mathias himself performing as well.

Our musicians have been looking forward to this one for a long time. And honestly, so have we.
