Echoes of the Ancient World: The Lyre of Apollo

For the first time in Copenhagen, two of the world’s most renowned voices of the ancient lyre come together on one stage. Lina Palera and Theodore Koumartzis, artists internationally recognised for their long-standing dedication to the revival of the lyre, embark on their first joint tour, weaving centuries of history into a living, breathing musical dialogue.
Rooted in the ancient world, their music revives the lyre not as a relic, but as a vibrant instrument of ritual and storytelling. Each performer brings a distinct artistic path, shaped by collaborations across borders, cultures, and disciplines.
Together, they create a rare encounter where tradition meets innovation, intimacy meets virtuosity, and silence becomes a building block as meaningful as sound.
This concert is more than a performance. It is a meeting of two artistic worlds, a shared journey through time, and a unique moment in the contemporary life of ancient music. An unmissable premiere for the international audience of Copenhagen, reimagining the voice of the lyre for today.
